In a pivotal move to foster peace, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered to mediate ongoing tensions between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The proposal came during a telephone conversation with Sudan’s military leader, General Abdel-Fattah Burhan, as disclosed by the Turkish presidential communications office on Friday.
This offer follows Erdogan’s recent success in brokering an agreement between Ethiopia and Somalia, which has initiated technical talks to resolve disputes stemming from Ethiopia’s deal with Somaliland, a self-declared breakaway region of Somalia. 
Erdogan’s Vision for Sudan
During the discussion, Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s commitment to Sudan’s stability and territorial integrity. “Turkey’s core principles include establishing peace and stability in Sudan, preserving its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and preventing the country from becoming a zone of external interventions,” Erdogan stated.
