Sudan Army Tightens Grip on Khartoum as RSF Retreats
The Sudanese army has intensified its military operations in Khartoum, reclaiming key strategic locations as the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) face heavy losses and retreat. The latest developments signal a potential shift in the ongoing conflict, which has devastated the nation for nearly a year.
According to military sources, Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) units have retaken Khartoum International Airport, one of the city’s most contested battle zones. This victory follows weeks of heavy bombardments aimed at dislodging RSF fighters from their urban strongholds. Reports suggest that RSF forces are retreating to the outskirts of the capital as they face supply shortages and increased airstrikes.
The battle for Khartoum, Omdurman, and Bahri has been a focal point of Sudan’s crisis, with both sides vying for control over government buildings, airports, and critical infrastructure.
