Authorities in Ceuta, the Spanish enclave on the North African coast, have discovered a clandestine tunnel believed to be used for large-scale drug smuggling between Morocco and Ceuta. The tunnel was uncovered following intelligence leads and joint operations by Spanish and Moroccan law enforcement agencies.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the tunnel, carved beneath border areas, facilitated the covert transport of narcotics and other contraband. Police have recovered significant quantities of drugs, and further searches are underway to determine the full extent of the smuggling network.
