In a remarkable feat coinciding with World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2025, 15-year-old Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke from Abuja, Nigeria, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records for creating the largest art canvas by an individual. His expansive painting measures an astounding 12,303.87 square meters (132,437 square feet).

Kanyeyachukwu, who has autism, began his artistic journey in childhood, using color as a powerful means of self-expression. His record-breaking artwork, titled “Impossible is a Myth,” serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, demonstrating that neurodiversity is not a barrier to extraordinary achievement.

The certificate presentation ceremony at Eagle Square in Abuja was attended by notable dignitaries, including Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa. Minister Musawa lauded Kanyeyachukwu’s accomplishment, stating, “By breaking this world record, he has not only set a new standard but also proven that age is no barrier to greatness.”
