Doris Ogah has claimed the prestigious title of Miss Nigeria, outshining 33 contestants in a dazzling Coronation Gala held at the Royal Box in Victoria Island, Lagos.
This grand event marked the 45th edition of the Miss Nigeria pageant, blending elegance, cultural pride, and a powerful message of unity.
Themed “Beyond Beauty: Reigning Together as Queens,” the night was a celebration of resilience, creativity, and community. In her keynote address, Rita Dominic, Chairman of the Miss Nigeria Board, emphasized the contestants’ roles as ambassadors of a united Nigeria.
“Miss Nigeria is more than a celebration of beauty; it is a call to action,” Dominic said, urging young women to actively engage in shaping their communities and fostering societal progress.
The event also spotlighted strong collaboration, with gratitude extended to sponsors like MTN Nigeria and Mikano for their unwavering support in empowering young women and promoting Nigerian culture.
The panel of judges, led by Mo Abudu, included prominent personalities such as Mai Atafo, Kate Henshaw, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, and others. Their collective expertise underscored the pageant’s dedication to honoring both beauty and purpose.
As Doris Ogah took the crown from her predecessor, Shatu Garko, the evening stood as a testament to the transformative power of unity and the limitless potential of Nigeria’s women.
