AMCE focuses on making a substantial impact on non-communicable disease (NCD) care in West Africa. The organization plans to provide comprehensive clinical services alongside an education and research program. This initiative will encompass end-to-end care for Cancer, Cardiovascular, and Haematological conditions while promoting better clinical management through research and training.

The partnership between AMCE, Converge, and SAP marks a significant milestone in tackling critical healthcare challenges in Nigeria and the wider West African region. According to Johann Joubert, CEO of Converge, this joint effort reflects a shared vision of empowering millions by making quality healthcare accessible and efficient.
He explains, “Through the integration of SAP S/4HANA, ISH Plus, and a suite of ancillary modules focused on enhanced quality and safety, this partnership enables a modernized, interoperable healthcare system.”
Joubert further notes that the solutions will empower hospitals, clinics, and government healthcare agencies to provide faster, more accurate, and efficient care. He points out the pressing demand for healthcare delivery in Africa, coupled with a shortage of skilled professionals. By applying modern tools and techniques, this partnership aims to support and enhance the engagement of nurses and physicians.
Addressing Healthcare Challenges in West Africa
The region’s healthcare systems deal with a number of issues, such as disjointed service delivery, restricted patient data access, and operational inefficiencies that cause delays and poor patient results. This collaboration has the potential to improve patient experiences, increase healthcare providers’ operational efficiency, and guarantee sustainable, scalable healthcare delivery by utilizing cutting-edge technology and adhering to international standards.
Titilayo Adewumi, Regional Sales Director for West Africa at SAP, spotlights the growing demand for improved healthcare services to meet the needs of Africa’s expanding population.
She states, “By leveraging technology and taking an innovation-led approach to healthcare delivery, organizations can make a real, lasting impact on the lives of African citizens.” Adewumi expresses enthusiasm for collaborating with Converge to support AMCE’s vital work in driving better health outcomes throughout the region.
