The Gaza Strip has entered its second month without receiving new humanitarian supplies due to an Israeli-imposed blockade, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation for its over 2 million residents.
Initiated on March 2, 2025, the blockade has halted the entry of essential goods, including food, medical supplies, and fuel. Aid organizations report that their warehouses are nearly empty, and critical medications are running out, leaving the healthcare system on the brink of collapse.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has been forced to close its remaining bakeries due to dwindling food supplies, further limiting access to basic necessities.The blockade has also led to soaring prices, making the limited available food unaffordable for many. 
International organizations have condemned the blockade, emphasizing its violation of international humanitarian law and calling for immediate action to allow the flow of aid into Gaza.
The ongoing blockade not only threatens the survival of Gaza’s population but also risks escalating tensions in the region. Immediate international intervention is imperative to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian crisis and to uphold the basic human rights of Gaza’s residents.
