Cairo, Egypt – The Egyptian Ministry of Health has implemented a comprehensive medical plan to ensure public safety during the upcoming New Year and Christmas celebrations.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, announced that a central operations room has been established, with regional counterparts set up in each governorate. This coordinated effort aims to proactively address potential health risks associated with the festive season.
The Ministry’s strategy includes a multi-pronged approach:
- Intensified Inspections: Inspection campaigns are being conducted at food-serving establishments, food storage facilities, parks, gardens, and public spaces to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.
- Enhanced Preparedness: The availability of necessary serums and vaccinations has been ensured.
- Public Awareness Campaigns: Convoys are being dispatched to educate the public on health and safety practices.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: The Ministry is working closely with other health service providers and civil defense agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
Over 35 hospitals across the country are on high alert to effectively manage any potential medical emergencies.
