Nigerian retail automation startup, Bumpa, has announced the passing of its Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Adetunji ‘TeeJay’ Opayele. The tech community mourns the loss of the 32-year-old, following a car accident in Lagos, Nigeria.

Opayele co-founded Bumpa alongside Kelvin Umechukwu. Bumpa is a retail automation platform aimed at helping small businesses manage their online and offline sales, inventory, and customer relationships. Opayele’s expertise as CTO was instrumental in building and scaling the platform, which has become a notable player in Nigeria’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.
