Prince Karim Al-Hussaini, known as Aga Khan IV, the spiritual leader of the global Ismaili Muslim community, will be buried in Aswan, Egypt, on Sunday, February 9, 2025. A private burial ceremony will follow a funeral service at the Ismaili Centre in Lisbon, Portugal, attended by community leaders and foreign dignitaries.

Aga Khan IV passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 88. He led the Ismaili Muslim community for nearly seven decades and was renowned for his extensive philanthropic efforts through the Aga Khan Development Network, which employs approximately 80,000 people and provides essential services across Africa and Asia.

Following his passing, his son, Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini, has been appointed as the 50th hereditary Imam, succeeding his father as the spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslim community.
